Earlier in September, NS8 had the opportunity to join Shopify as one of the title sponsors of their worldwide “A Day with Shopify” event. On the first stop of the journey in Birmingham, in the UK, NS8 joined eCommerce firms from around the world to discuss everything from improving sales tactics and fostering engagement to tracking customer experiences and fighting online fraud.
Aside from the beautiful city itself, the highlight of the trip was probably the keynote speaker, Brandon Chu, Director of Products from Shopify, who discussed some of the interesting demographics among eCommerce merchants, and how their platform has evolved in creating new features to better cater to shifting demands. Chu spoke about how data-driven matchmaking was an important priority in ongoing developments to ensure better-personalized user experiences, and with trends indicating further global expansion among “non-anglo merchants,” meeting these implementation challenges will be an important step for many future businesses.
Later on in the afternoon, NS8 also had the chance to present about some of the difficulties associated with online fraud. Judging by the packed number of attendees and some of the key questions at the end, this seemed to really resonate with the audience. “Many merchants were very vocal about the fraud experiences that they’ve had over the last few months,” said Adam Rogas, CEO of NS8. “But with the ability to tackle transaction fraud, advertising fraud, and performance or reputation issues, NS8 Complete Storefront Protection is exactly the kind of product many of these businesses were looking for to safeguard both the safety of their site and their storefront’s ROI.”
The next stop of our trip is New York City, on September 28th, and NS8 looks forward to continuing many of these interesting discussions as events continue around the world this fall. If you’re planning on making it down to any of the “A Day with Shopify” locations, feel free to get in touch, and we look forward to seeing many of you there.
